Saatchi & Saatchi
These glass panels were designed and sandblasted for the Saatchi & Saatchi building on The Strand in Parnell, a former wool warehouse redeveloped by Lane Priest in 1990. They formed part of a 30-metre curved wall that brought natural light from the offices into a darker interior corridor.
The work uses textured surfaces and simple, icon-like cut-outs of birds and fish set against tall, leaf-shaped forms. Seen from either side, the layers create a shifting interplay of light and shadow, which changes as the light shifts throughout the day.
