Vero / Royal Sun Alliance

The Royal Sun Alliance Building is a large-scale urban development with an office tower, services and retail spaces. This commission was to design and produce decorative glass features reintroducing a natural theme, uniquely Aotearoa, into the environment.

The glass work uses the ponga leaf motif to interact with light to create an interplay recalling a dappled forest floor. This was applied over 300 square metres of glass canopies, glass-encased lift interiors for eight lifts, sculptural steel/glass lighting columns and tabletops.
